Yes. You will need to obtain a permit issued by the registered building surveyor for significant home extension projects. This is the last step in the process before construction begins. In some cases, such as if you’re adding flood overlays or strata tiles to your home, you will also need council approval. This is called planning permission.
Usually, our clients can stay in their homes while we complete your home renovations or extension project. However, we cannot give you safe access to areas of the home, such as the kitchen or bathroom, you will need to find temporary accommodation elsewhere.

Yes. We can add home extensions to a heritage-listed property. However, it may take more planning and council permissions to go ahead. At Supa Group, we will work closely with the Darebin city council to get all permits approved.
