If you’re adding home extensions to your North Melbourne property, you must obtain a permit issued by the registered building surveyor. This is the final step in the process before we can commence construction. In some instances planning permission may be required from council prior to the issuing of the building permit.
By agreement, clients often stay in their homes while we are extending unless we cannot grant safe access to important areas of the home. This includes the kitchen and bathroom. If this is the case, the client may need to find temporary accommodation elsewhere.
