Professional small builder/renovator
This weatherboard Californian Bungalow, although filled with character, lacked the functional living space this family craved. After a consultation with Supa Group, the decision to extend and renovate became the right choice in improving this family’s lifestyle.
In brief, the aim was to convert this three-bedroom, one bathroom house into a spacious four-bedroom, two-bathroom family home with a new open plan kitchen, dining and living area that led to an undercover alfresco.
Master bedroom with ensuite and WIR, new open kitchen, butlers pantry, dining, and living area with alfresco
Works began with the removal of an old “granny flat” like add-on and the garage clearing the way for the new ground floor extension.
An existing living and kitchen area was converted into a generous airy master bedroom with ensuite and WIR and the main bathroom was delightfully renovated in a rejuvenating pastel shade of green to match the ensuite.
Featuring a multi-functional floor plan, the new extension produced visually stunning spaces highlighted by a timeless monochrome kitchen with a cleverly designed walk-in pantry with external access, allowing those grocery bags to be transferred from boot to pantry in a snap!
Flanking the kitchen, was the inviting living area with its gas log fire place which opened up to the outdoor undercover alfresco area through versatile stacker doors.
The overall thermal efficiency of the existing home was improved with double glazed windows, insulation, and new cladding.
To finish the entry and hall tiles were replaced with Victorian Ash floorboards blending existing and new spaces seamlessly.
